Camellia x 'Xinzi' (means New Purple in Chinese) is a most unusual camellia. It is claimed to be a Camellia nitidissima (yellow flowers) and Camellia sasanqua hybrid if this is true, it certainly shows no traces of this C. nitidissima BUT it does have a most unusual colored flower.
